Rev. Dr. Amanda Tull
Rev. Dr. Amanda Tull, an ordained minister, has spent her entire career helping others. For over 15 years she worked as a Marriage and Family therapist. She then shifted her focus to healthcare, as a hospital and hospice chaplain. She served as a chaplain for over 20 years. She began the spiritual care department in a large hospital organization. She also started a Pet Therapy program in two hospitals. She is a board certified hospice, palliative care, and hospital chaplain. Amanda understands the value of the human-pet relationship. She has experienced the loss of her own dogs and the heartache that results. She knows what it is like to have others not appreciate the grief she was going through. A question she is often reminded of is, “how do we say goodbye to one we love?” As pet owners who have lost (or anticipate losing) a beloved pet, we need a place that will witness our suffering, our grief. The Pet Loss Support Group can be such a place.
