The first time Dr. Schmidt came to meet us,  she spent two hours !  Can you imagine?  She watched Sebastian’s gait, noticed his coat and skin, asked questions about his history and how he spends his days.  I was impressed by the depth and breadth of her questions——she wanted to know about his whole life.  His osteoarthritis has been addressed with a combination of Chinese herbs, laser treatments, and western medications.  She made suggestions about lowering the padding under his bed so he could more easily climb in.  Now his gait is more stable, his steps more sure.  He occasionally can get himself up from his bed but if not, the slings she suggested work just fine.  She has so many ideas and treatments available that have helped Sebastian.  We are very grateful.
